We had a pretty good week overall while Daddy was gone. Friday, we went Father's day shopping and got a GREAT buy on a watch for him. Who would have ever thought that you one could get such a good deal.
I sort of felt sorry for him after he got a watch in NYC. He had wanted to get a watch off the side of the street and near the end of our stay, he did. The guy said he wanted $65 for it and after a few rejects from Rob, he came down to about $35. Rob still said no, and as we were walking away, they guy asked how much we would give for the watch. Rob said he only had $20 for the watch. The guys said oh no, $30. Rob stayed firm with the $20 and he followed us as we were walking. Then he said $27, then $25. Rob told him he only had $20 for the watch and we were walking away. Finally the guys said okay, okay, I'll take $20, so Rob got his watch.
Rob didn't even look the watch over, and after getting back to our hotel and inspecting the watch, the clasp didn't even close. I was laughing so hard about the whole thing and Rob was so disappointed. Oh well, maybe we can find a band that actually works. At least the watch keeps good time.
So, I said all that to say, we found a great deal on a watch that works and stays closed. I went to JCPenney were they had $36 watches half off and then I had a $10 off coupon! $8.5? for the watch!!! I know, it was cheap, but it fits our budget really well. We also got him his favorite cookies & gave him a #1 dad key chain HE picked out from NYC. The girls colored him a picture & then off to breakfast we went. Overall, I think it was a great day for him.
After breakfast, we took him to the airport were he'll be going to Conn. (?) and will be returning Tues. We have a busy week ahead of us. The Letcher's plan to stop on their way through and stay with us. We sure missed the guys not stopping by. Then I think on Sat, the Adam's will be here.
We are getting ready to head off to church for the evening and plan to visit with Tabby and her family tomorrow. The house is half way cleaned and the more we are gone, the more the house will stay cleaner. The only problem, is the near 100 degree temps outside, so inside things will have to be planned.

HOT SUMMER HEAT
I'm not so sure I'm ready for these 100 degree temps this early in the summer. The girls sure have enjoyed the pool since it's warmed up and it's been good exercise for me too.
It's been too muggy to walk outside for sometime now, and when I go to the gym, Kaylee really dislikes the boring play area for the kids. So, a bit more weight gain than what I would like. Now I'm happy to be able to exercise in the pool and all the kids love being in it. Thankfully, my weight gain has slowed down now!
Had a HUGE scare the other day while in the pool. Rob had me looking at storm clouds forming in the sky while Kaylee was on the ladder. Kaylee has always been too afraid to get in the water without us holding her hand or arms so I thought for a moment, she would be okay. Then I heard Emma saying, "Mommy, Mommy! Look, Kaylee is swimming." She had one of those swim suits on that has the floats around the belly, but even though she's the size of a 2 year old, she doesn't know how to swim like a 2 year old. She was face down in the water right in front of me! I quickly picked her up and she must have taken a good breath before going in since she didn't cry, choke or even get all that scared and was ready to jump off the ladder moments later.
So, that evening, Kaylee got a new life jacket. One that goes around her shoulders and has a head support too. Not that I'll be taking my eyes off of her anymore, but it's better support than what she had on. The little stinker doesn't like those infant flotation floats. She wants to be free like everyone else.
Not much else has been happening around here. Rob has gone to NM for some class for his job and will be back Friday night. As for me around the house, we are trying to stay cool. I keep trying to do the laundry, but it seems like it's never ending and takes me forever in the midst of tending to 3 kids. I'm trying to teach Madison that she can't change her clothes 3 times a day. I turn my back and she's in something else.
We are looking forward to having the Letcher guys come through on Sat. on their way to family camp in NM. Wish I was going too. And hopefully they will all stop in on their way back home too. We make for a pretty good stopping point since we are right off the interstate.
Well, since when do I have all 3 kids laying down for a nap at the same time and I'm awake enough to work around the house? Hardly ever, so off I go to tend to some housework that's well needed.

Blow Out...
Tuesday morning I had a Dr. appointment and was taking the kids along with me for all to see at the office. Rob came home from work to go with me. We no longer left our house, got on the interstate, passed a dump truck on the side of the road with the truck hood up and water all over the road, when we must of ran over a piece of metal that fell from his engine and slashed our tire. Instant blow out for us and no chance of repair. Thankfully Rob was with us and we stood in a shade as he put the spare on.
Needless to say, I didn't make the appointment and called to reschedule for 3pm that day. We went on to Sam's to get 2 new tires for the van, not what we were expecting at this moment in life. We had a least another 15,000 - 20,000 miles left on those tires. Oh well...
My appointment went well. The baby is growing and so am I. Since my sugar isn't acting up like with the other pregnancies, I'm putting on more weight although I'm not eating that much. Maybe because I'm not eating 8 small portions a day like with the others. ??? I'll try and eat better and watch my weight. ;)
So I've set off our house alarm twice this week. When I get a call about the alarm going off, I am normally asked if everything is okay, but this last time, only asked for my password and name. I suppose that's because I was laughing as I'm sure they heard me telling Madison, "Yes Madison, I'm as bad as the kids setting off the alarm." Madison made it very clear to me that I'm just as bad as the kids. Really made me feel like the adult around here. lol

Baby Name Decided
Lydia Grace Montgomery
Rob thought since all of us girls had 3,4,6 & 7 letters in our name, that we needed a girl name with 5 letters. We also thought since this child is a miracle child, that we wanted to look to the Bible for a name. I first came up with Grace, for by the grace of God we are having another child, but the middle names didn't seem to go over well with Rob. Well, neither did Lydia. He's been a hard name pleaser.
Seemed like Lydia didn't go over well with family I shared it with either, but the more they said it, the more they thought about it, the more they began to love it. Rob did too as we read more about Lydia in the Bible. We had both decided we really liked Grace, so as we began to fall in love with the name Lydia, Lydia Grace has stuck.
In other news...
We traveled to Broken Arrow (Tulsa area) Sunday evening for a VLB boost. The service went over very well. Rob did a great job and the Lord moved in the altar service. We enjoyed visiting with the youth afterwards and visiting with the Branscums as well.
We found out that the Browns are very close by, only a little over an hour away from us, so anyone who has their contact info, call them and tell them they are more than welcome to come visit us! I know they will most likely be driving 1/2 mile away from our house if they take the interstate heading home. I just need a notice of more than 3 hours to clean on my house! ha. Need more than that, but it's a hopeless house with 3 kids and pregnant lady that can't bend over well anymore. lol. Really, it's not funny, it's painful. I'll just try and get the kids to help me. Good luck Amy!!!

Welcome Baby Logan!

Looks like this may be the only brother the girls will have. They were so excited to know that Logan was here and could not wait to go see him in the hospital. Kaylee got mad every time I took him away from her. Finally, she got over it. The girls love him very much.Welcome Baby Logan!

NYC Trip
I had a lot more photos, but for some reason, the pictures are locked to where I cannot edit them. I didn't do anything different, so therefore, I'm posting as many pics that I can and now it's to the point I can't upload anymore. Soooo... if you have facebook and would like to see more, you'll have to go there to see more pictures.
Our trip....
We started out in Mtn. View were on Sunday evening, we had a surprise graduation party for Cindi. Only family was there, but she was grateful to have a party. Sorry, the pic wouldn't load up.
Monday we drove to Memphis so we could catch our early morning flight on Tues. to NYC. Jessica and Cindi has never let us forget our promise to them some 5 or 6 years ago. We landed at a small county airport just north of the city that cost about $80 less to fly into.
The girls had a lot of first. Their first city bus ride, first train ride into the city and first taxi ride ever, and it was in NYC. That took us to our hotel just south of central park. That night, we went out to time square. It's amazing at night time and it looks totally different during the day.
The next day, the girls spent nearly a full day shopping for souvenirs and hitting 34th street with all the reasonable shopping stores. They found some great deals. Later that day, we bought our Broadway tickets and off to a show that night.
Thursday and Friday, I'm not sure what happened. I know we did a LOT of walking every day. Thursday night, we were so tired, we retired from the city before 7pm and Friday, we were so tired, we slept in. One of those days was a ground zero day. We went into the museum they have now and looked at some amazing things, read some very sad stories, and looked at photos of those who were murdered. I couldn't keep a dry eye. It was very sad remembering that day.
Saturday, we went to the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island. At the Statue, Rob started talking with an employee and she had quiet the little twinkle in her eye. I say she thought my bald headed husband was something, and she left. Rob lingered around and I told the girls, he's up to something. She finally came back and handed him 4 tickets to the museum in the base of the statue and we were able to go up the statue just below her feet to a viewing point. It was really neat and nice of a New Yorker to such a good deed. That evening on the way to the hotel, we did a bit more shopping and then ended our night with a horrible off Broadway show that was suppose to be a Christian boy band making fun of the worldly boy bands... so we were told. Not the case, it's embarrassing just to mention that we went there. Never go to see the "Altar Boyz." We walked out. Let's just say, I suppose it was "Christian based" in New York's eyes.
Over all, we had a good time and was amazed at all the people in NYC walking around. It's good to be back in our small town, even if our small town in OKC is over a million. I prefer it even smaller.

We got to Chicago just after 5 pm and our next flight was close to 8:30 pm. We did some shopping in the airport and made our way over to our next terminal. There, we saw that our flight was delayed to 10:30 pm. Knowing that we had more than 4 hours to be at our gate, we decided to go to the USO (military support lounge) there close to our gate to have free food, a TV and Internet. Close to 9:15 pm, I told Rob that he should double check our time to make sure nothing else has changed, so he headed down to look at the monitors. He didn't see our flight on the screen! So back he came, called about our flight and they departed at 9:10! No other flights were leaving, so we had to stay in the USO overnight. I was so thankful, since I sometimes need a midnight snack, and that night, I did. It wasn't the most comfortable, but we had a good laugh out of it all. We finally made it back as you can see.
