Birthday Party & Storms...

I have to make this quick, as quick as possible. Time is running out for me and many many things for me to do.


First of all, the girls turned 4 on Monday. They are so excited to be 4, as old as their cousin Kenzie. They think so highly of her since she so "big."


We celebrated at Chuck E. Cheeses where they were thrilled to play many games and got over 900 tickets out of 130 coins. They did well. Emma even hit the jackpot on one game & received 100 tickets. She was really excited to get so many tickets at once.


One of the big events was getting to see Chuck E. in perosn!!! Madison sure was exicted to no longer be scared of that mouse! I didn't take my camera! so no pictures there!!! I'm really bummed! She told me, "Mommy! He's so soft!"


Ben, Tabby, Sheyanne & Sherry joined us for a couple of hours to share pizza and birthday donuts.


At our small party we gave the girls a princess dress that they love. They wore those dresses the rest of the evening once the storms passes. I'll get to the storms later.... This weekend, we'll celebrate with all the neices & nephews in AR.

Today the girls had their well check up and got 4 shots each today. Emma was so excited about getting shots! Poor girl, she didn't know what was coming. Even though she watched Kaylee get hers a couple months ago, she had no idea how bad it was going to hurt. So, when the nurse asked who was going first, Emma was quick to raise her hand and say, "ME!" She was all ready. She did very well and only whinned a little. Madison started crying before she got to the table begging not to get her shots! She cried the hardest and was not that big of a trooper about it all. As we were leaving the office, both of the were limping, Madison with stiff legs. It was so hard for them to walk on legs that just got shots in them. It was pretty cute.


Emma's complained of her legs hurting all day and Madison said hers are fine. I suppose they are glad to know that they don't have to get any more shots until they are 11.


After we came home from the Dr. office, we laid down for a nap in peace knowing that the storms were not to be here until later in the afternoon to early evening. I was thinking maybe 3:30 or 4. Needless to say, THEY CAME EARLIER! It was about 2 pm when Kaylee woke up. I did look outside to see if anything was progressing. Of course it was and that's not early evening to me! There was a large, bad looking cloud to the west and northwest of us. I even ventured outside to take a closer look. I saw it was a ways from us, so back I go in to change Kaylee's diapers. At that time, the sirons start going off and I'm like... okay, it looks bad outside, so which way is it going??? I quickly turn on the TV, there's a possible tornado on the ground west of us. I call our friend Tabby who's home alone with no shelter to make sure she's watching. I know that most of the time, these things head NE, but I do know that they sometimes head staight E. If E was the direction it was going, then I needed to take shelter with my kids. I wasn't getting a quick enough answer, so yes, I'm one of those that goes outside. I saw that the clouds were heading NE so I stayed put for a while. We didn't have clouds that close to us to be concerned. After going outside, the weatherman confirmed the NE direction that was going away from us. After changing Kaylee's daiper, the weather was our interest for the rest of the evening.


5 tornado's in all touched down in OK, with 3 of them being in the Oklahoma City metro area! All 3 were at least 15 miles away from us but we still had our sirons go off due to them being in the same county that was live in. We got heavy rain afterwards.


The storms have delayed our trip to AR tonight, so we'll be leaving in the morning somtime. We are sending my parents to Branson for their first vacation in over 30 years without kids. We'll be keeping the grandkids and doing all their hard work, then guess what??? I'm leaving my kids with them so Rob and I can go to Branson! *all smiles* We'll go pick them up after a couple of days, but the kids have been begging to go see their Nana & Papaw & play with their cousins. This is about the only time we can get it done.


So, interent world will not be accessed for the next 1 1/2 weeks.

A Great Convention And Great News!

It was so good to spend time with Sis. Connie & Bro. Johnny Wilson this weekend. We'll have to get up there to spend the day without church activities going on. They are such a joy and we thank them so much for opening up their home to us.

Johnna came in on Sat. during lunch time and it was great visiting with her. We took her out with some of the youth so she could meet a few more people in the church. She enjoyed the fellowship with people her age. :) I'm just bummed we'll be gone during the time that she is here to visit, so getting to spend the evening with her was great.

Convention was wonderful. The blessing of the Lord poured and a sweet Spirit was there. All the messages were outstanding and filling to the soul. I really enjoyed the fellowship time during lunch. We were told NOT to go out for lunch, lunch was prepared for us, and that was such a blessing to be able to fellowship with many more people than normal hustle & bustle with a small group.

So some great news that we are excited about....
Years ago, some members of our church donated property to the church for a youth camp. Since the split, we've had to find another place to have camp. Bro. D. Smith got a phone call from the current camp ground care taker (that's who I suppose it was) and he said he felt like the camp is just as much ours as it was theirs. He told us we can have camp there on the grounds for the cost of expenses!!! How AMAZING!!! Not only is it cheaper, but it's 2 hours closer to OK for the people out here won't have to drive as far. Not nearly as may mosquito's!!! Okay, if you new anything about flat land blood eaters, then you would be very appreciative of this!!! Those thing feel like you are being carried away and then you feel like you have some flesh eating disease where hundreds have bit you! So, we are very thrilled. But now, we will have to be more aware of snakes and tics.... ummmm.... which one do I prefer... NEITHER! lol

We understand that many updates have been made to the campground since we've last used it that has made it so much better. Rob and I are excited for the chance to go see it this week while in Mtn. View. It will bring back many memories for me since I spent my first 8 or 9 camps there and grew spiritually there. It will be great! The Lord has opened yet another door.

Well, off I got to prepare myself and the kids for bed. I've been running a fever again today that has made me feel a bit bad. And, I'm hungry again... that's a never ending story. And it stinks that not much sounds or taste good to me at this point in time! I am thankful for a weekend that was more energized. I did good until Sat. night, then I lost my supper. Oh well, just 31 more weeks....

The Worst Week Of Our Lives...

OH MY GOODNESS! I'm so ready for this sickness to be totally over with and to NEVER come back!!! It all started Sunday afternoon with Kaylee and then after Rob got sick Monday night, Madison had her round Tues. evening and couldn't keep anything down til midnight. It was quiet comical, not that Madison was sick, but that Emma wanted to be sick so bad. She laid around like the rest then would get up and play and then realize, oh, I want to be sick and would start laying around again. At one point, she complained about her belly hurting since that was a common symptom everyone else complained with. At one time, Rob asked if she felt like she was going to get sick and she said yes. He placed the bucket in front of her and while trying to still watch TV, she gagged around a bit and spit a little in the bucket. Rob asked if she felt better and she said yes. We couldn't help but laugh. She wanted to be sick so bad like Madison, as if she wasn't getting any attention.

Needless to say, Emma did wake up Wed. morning sick to her stomach. Finally, she really got what she wanted. We asked if she was happy now that she really was sick, and of course, she was happy to be sick, but she didn't want to be sick. ??? That an almost 4 year old for ya. Madison got sick one more time and then snapped out of it around 1pm. She felt so good she wanted a bath. Emma laid around for the rest of the day running a fever and they both ran a fever that night.

I was praying so hard not to get sick too, but for some reason, prayers were not answered. I knew if I was going to get sick it would most likely be Wed. evening or Thurs. morning. So, I woke up at 1am with my share of the sickness. Rob came to me and asked, "Is this the virus, or is it the pregnancy?" I told him, "Honey, I don't wake up in the middle of the night throwing up due to being pregnant, this is what you all had." So I was up nearly the whole night sick to my stomach. I ended up having it worse than any of the others. Both ends where in pain, it was awful. I finally sent Rob out for some Imodium AD that brought relief to my aching tummy.

Rob still had to be at work on Thurs. so thankfully, Tabby was feeling much better after her little episode of sickness to watch the kids for me while I rested... oh wait, there is no rest when your sick ever hour and on the pot... so I didn't have to care for my kids. Thanks so much Tabby!!!! Rob did come home early from work, picked up the kids and cared for me ask much as he could. Great husband I have.

So now, I'm feeling the after effects of the sickness. My back is in much pain from overworking the muscles and my fever come up last night. This morning, I'm feeling a lot better, just the muscles are still aching. The twins had a small fever last night but it's not stopped them from going and playing. The baby has never slowed down, even when she was sick. I am thrilled to say, at least we weren't all sick the same day!

So on a good note now, we are happy we are well enough to attend the district convention this weekend. We are looking forward to spending this evening with the Wilson's. I DID call her to tell of our sickness and she did tell us to come on. I'm praying the sickness is all out of our system and will not be spread to them. I do not wish this on anyone!!! Well, maybe the criminals that are around and about... but not any good Samaritans. ;)

So off I go to pack for the weekend and pray that the blessings of the Lord fall upon us and renew our strength. I'm looking forward to a wonderful time of fellowship.

Oh, and I'm not going to proof read, so any errors are not my fault, but the fault of the illness that has been upon me.

Sickness

And it's not all me this time. Sunday, on our way home from church, Kaylee threw up all over herself and her car seat. Thankfully, that one didn't stink, so I was able to keep everything I had down. I felt so sorry for the baby. She was wet all over. She's been having diarrhea for the past 3 weeks, so I took some PJ's just in case we needed them, thinking that vomit was not in the picture. Then it happened again about 4 pm. This time, it wasn't so pleasant. We ended up putting the rug that was under our table out in the garage til we can shampoo it and moving the living room rug under the table. It was horrible! Although I have not experienced a child (out of the 14 nieces & nephews I have) throwing up because of teething, that's something that was suggested to us as a possibility. I've never heard of vomiting, but I have diarrhea and fever. She never ran a fever that I know of on Sunday and kept good spirits the entire day. She was feeling much better on Monday.

Needless to say, we found out last night that it's not because of teething. We thought Emma was gonna get sick since she started running a temp, but instead, it was Rob that woke up at 1 am throwing up, then again at 5, then again at 7... poor guy. It's only the second time out of the 9 years we've been married that he's gotten sick like this. He has been running a fever. The twins seem to be doing okay today. They just want to go over to Tabby's house since they "never" get to go. They love watching her princess movies.

That will be all for now. The girls want the computer so they can play games such as Mickey Mouse, Goofey, Dora.... all these online games. They are already becoming computer whizzes.
