FINALLY SOME WHITE STUFF! And a little bit of everything...

Oh, I got excited about the girls matching. I was sick on this Sunday so Rob took the girls to church and I stayed home to rest. Kaylee has outgrown her dress shoes, so I'm digging in a box to try and find some that fit her. She's growing so much!

I been sick a lot the past 2 1/2 weeks. Not just "morning sickness" but also running a fever. Some days are worse than others. I'm just ready to feel better!

Our pretty little girls.

Kaylee is into this stage of wanting to learn how to feed herself. She still doesn't have her jaw teeth in well and she doesn't like veggies, so I thought, let me blend some soup up for her to eat with a spoon. The spoon lasted for about 2 tries and then the hand went in for the rest. I don't think she really ate a whole lot of it, just mainly played with the the food. Needless to say, I had a huge mess to clean up and wall to scrub! But doesn't it look like she had fun?

Along with wanting to learn how to feed herself, we cannot feed her baby food very often without her help. As you can see, her hand is on the spoon too. As long as she's helping, all is well.

Night before last, Rob got out the shark tent that was intended for a Christmas gift. Needless to say, we forgot about it. Rob couldn't wait til their birthday to give it to them, so out it came and in the floor it went. The girls loved laying in the tent while watching their movies.

And it finally happened! We got some white stuff! Can you see the white specks? Well, for this picture, good thing I took it when I did. 3 minutes later, it was finished snowing! We got a little bit of everything. First some freezing drizzle and rain, about 1/4" that made everything nice and slick then it sleeted all night long and the next day that gave us about 1". It finished up with few flakes that fell. We asked Ben and Tabby to come stay with us since we were pretty sure the guys didn't have to be at work the next day. So they did.

Since we were iced in for my birthday, we played outside in the "snow." Madison woke up and looked outside. She came back running into our bedroom so happy. "Mommy! Mommy! Get up and come look! It SNOWED! Now I can go outside and make a snow angel like this... (she lays in the floor to show me how). And it will be fun!" Okay, okay, I told her, she could go outside. Last year, we didn't get his chance. We only got flurries all year long. The girls have waited so long to play in the snow. So, each time I told her to be careful cause the sleet was slick, Madison was quick to correct me that it was snow.
We got the disc down so they could slide and what fun they had! Needless to say, I had morning sickness nearly all day long!
Tabby made me a sugar free strawberry cheesecake! My special cake was delicious, the girls even liked it!
Kaylee sliding with her daddy. This is her first winter out and she LOVES it! She cried when we came back inside, but it was way to cold for her to be out any longer.

The girls sliding by themsleves down the driveway.

Here they are trying to scoot themsleves to the steeper part.

Tabby pulled Kaylee for a little while and she was loving it.

Madison trying to make her snow angel in the sleet. ;)
She got up and said, "Let me try again, it didn't work very well."
This was the first thing she did once she got outside.

Emma drawing in the ice.

All three bundled up.
It's been warmer today, so I let the girls go out and play. I really didn't want to go out since I'm sick to my stomach again, but Kaylee cried so hard and I thought, I might as well let her play for a little while, when will she get this chance again. Needless to say, I was VERY sick once I came back inside, but she enjoyed being outside very much. All the kids did. I gave the girls a bucket and shovel and they stayed busy for a while putting snow into their buckets.
My family in AR is without electricity. They have nearly 2" of ice. I can only imagine that that area looks like what OK looked like last year. My brother got trapped while trying to get home with trees down across the road. He didn't make it home, so he spent the night with church members. If he sends me pictures, I'll post some. Needless to say, they are suppose to be without electric for 2 weeks.
Hope everyone has a great day!

The baby!

I went to the doctor today for the first time to get a glucose meter issued to me so I can start checking my blood sugar. They've been really messed up with the whole first trimester and food just tasting nasty to me right now. I'm trying to figure out what I like and what works with my blood sugar. Not fun.

So, there's good news! I'M ONLY HAVING ONE BABY! The heartbeat looked great and everything measured up just perfect! I found out I am 7 weeks along today, so not far at all! Due date Sept 7th, so it looks like no assembly TN trip for me. ;( I can try for a VBAC but I did let the doctor know I'm going for a c-section if the baby is 41 weeks again and it looks like it's gonna be another 9 pounder! I'm praying for a natural delivery though. I long to hold at least one of my babies after birth. There can't be any other feeling than to have your baby placed in your arms after delievery. Getting a small glimse 10 feet away under all kinds of meds is not a great way to be introduced to your new baby. For once, I'd just like to have a normal delivery. So all you praying folks, please pray for me.

the fuzz ball
Rob's been an outstanding husband. The past few days, between having a fever for nearly 2 weeks and my sugar levels all messed up, I've felt extreemly bad. He's been so good to clean the house and take care of the kids. I couldn't ask for a better man. He really does baby me, and I can't complain about it. But I'm thankful. When I'm dizzy and weak from my sugar levels, he's so understanding and picks up where he needs to get the job finished. I love him so much!
The girls are a little disappointed I'm not having a baby for each kid. I'm just a whole lot relieved! Triplets was NOT the solution to having a baby for each kid. But I think they'll get over it soon. Emma claims Kaylee as her baby to take care of, so this baby I'm having for Madison. Now it really would be nice if they were old enough to change diapers! Emma tries to change Kaylee's wet ones. A few more practices, she'll be good to go!
Kaylee's been climbing on top of everything, either getting stuck or falling off. I can't keep her off the kitchen table & computer desk. She's gonna be my next little monkey. She shimmies up just about anything. The girl is too big for her own britches. She's already figured out to push a chair to the counter so she can get things off the counter top! What am I going to do???
That's about it for now, at least that's all I remember. Take care!

Rob's prayer...

I just found out last night during Rob's service that he had been praying for me to have another baby! After church, I approched the subject and he said he wanted more kids and knew I was serious when I said no more.

I have such horrible pregnancies and I'm not really a "dream" to be around when I don't have enough sleep. I didn't want to put my kids through another pregnancy and the risk I have to go through while pregnant. So he started praying becuase he wanted more kids. Yes, he wants to adopt, but he really would like to have a boy. He would really take anything and prays for a healthy baby though. I THINK he really wants a boy. Anyway.... I was floored! I could not believe that he was praying and now it was even more clear to me why I had back to back ovulations when I only have one chance a year to have a baby. God answered his prayer to have another baby, we'll have to see if God answers about the boy. ;-)

I've added it all up and I'm about 5 weeks along. So far I've been doing good. Extreemly tired, and only 2 times of gagging. With Kaylee, I was already grossly sick by this time. I'm praying for at least a less sick pregnancy, and that God is gracious to me and my family to help me during this time, to help make me a good pregnant mommy.

Pictures!

And it's official... the blood work confirmed I am having a baby. So far, so good. No sickness yet. If fact, I've lost almost 2 pounds! I sometimes think, how's that possible when I'm eating more now. I am eating more often, small amounts, but I noticed my skirt last night was a bit tight. Scary! My thoughts immediately go back to when I had the twins. I'll be watching closely.

Hope you enjoy the pictures! Have a great day.

The Dixon grandkids & one great grandkid.
We really miss the ones that are not there.

Mom & Dad laughing about the stop sign I got them for the garage.
Mom is always running into the boxes. I'm hoping this will help to keep the
boxes in the garage & not in the living room that's on the other side of the garage wall.

Madison a bit tired from the FL heat. She fell asleep eating a fry.

It's hard to keep a 12 month old still!

I just love it!

A rare picture of me and Rob.

Kaylee getting her feet in the gulf waters for the first time.
She LOVED it and wanted in the water sooo bad!

She loved playing in the sand!

Madison and Emma running the shore & letting the waves come over their feet.
Emma cracked me up... she ran around the entire time holding her pant legs up
to keep them from getting wet. You can see, Madison doesn't care, her's are wet.

A cool picture of the seagulls wanting our food.

We detoured to Gulfport, MS were the eye of Hurrican Katrina went through.
Here is a pic of pillars where a house once was. It was amazing how many trees
were stripped of their branches. Just looked like sticks stabbed in the ground.

A broken pier that still has not been replaced.
We saw about 8 of these with 10 miles, all broken.
Only one was being rebuilt and about 7 new building were in the area. The rest, gone.

8 More Months To Go.....

...That is if all goes well before we have another addition to the family! Confused? So are we! I said I was done, finished, no more! That is, unless God had something else in store for us. We were ready to adopt and then boom! Two weeks before going to DHS to fill out paper work, I find out I'm pregnant. Totally a miracle. So, I suppose God had something else in store for us since in my mind, we were finished from my womb. Looks like I'm due the beginning of Sept. and we are looking forward to another baby.

So far, I'm doing okay. I've been praying for a much better pregnancy since my pregnancies come with severe sickness and really bad gestational diabetes. The day before I found out I was expecting, we went to eat pizza. About half an hour later, my heart was pounding just like when I'm pregnant, so I've been watching what I eat and when I eat, trying to stay on a good schedule. I notice I had more sugar lows after having Kaylee. No morning sickness yet, but unless God intervenes again, I'm looking for it to hit me in 2 - 4 weeks for the next 3 months before it lets up. So all you praying folks out there, please pray for me!

We just got back from our trip to FL after stopping in AR for a day. We had such a great time staying with Aunt Jackie and visiting with Rob's parents. Thanks Aunt Jackie for letting us stay with you! We were able to take the kids for a picnic on the beach and let them play in the sand for about an hour. They loved digging in the sand looking for shells and running from the waves. Kaylee wanted to jump right into the water and would have if we weren't there keeping her from it. I have pictures that I'll try and post within the next few days. We are having computer problems that's driving me crazy.

The kids did great on the trip there and back. Well, the twins anyway. Kaylee, she did great for only being 12 months old. She started crying closer to Dallas with 4 hours left out of a 26 hour trip (that's including our stop times). She settled down after a couple light pats on the leg that was only pressure and not even stings. I suppose it was the tone of voice that really upset her with the word "NO" in the middle of the sentence. She is a very strong willed child that makes up her mind and wants it her way.

Well, I'm still on eastern time and I'm a bit tired, or I could just blame it on pregnancy now. hummmm..... Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that your New Year is great so far.

Signing off for now.
