20 Weeks And...

Counting! I finally made it half way in the pregnancy and feeling quiet well. I still get sick to my stomach from time to time, but not nearly as often. Only with certain foods I'm still not sure of and about 2 times a week in the morning.

Not too much has happened in the Montgomery household this past week. Kaylee pretty much keeps me busier than the twins ever did. I think I've finally broke her from playing in the toilet and putting things in there, so that has helped a lot. Now she's moved on to other things, like eating the rash ointment. She's quiet the monkey and climbs onto just about everything. She's now 16 months old and at 14 months she managed to figure out the sit and spin, and 15 months, she no longer sits, but stand and spins like her sisters do. After she stops spinning, she throws her arms in the air while shaking and says, "whoa."

On Sunday night, the girls received an award at church for being able to sing the entire new testament all the way through. It's a great song. I even stumbled at where some of the books were located at...is it before or after this book...and now, I know the song too! They were very happy to sing the song in front of the church and receive their special award.

I did manage to make it to church on Wed. without Rob's help. It helps a lot when I'm not forced to go to the store with three kids and still needing to make supper for us all and get three kids ready by myself before church. That's what happened last week and there was no way I could make it. I stayed home before church this week and was more than 10 minutes early!!!

Friday, we had the pool installation people to come out and replace our liner. While they were out 5 weeks ago, they never saw a hole, nor did we, so we really thought it was a seam in the pool liner. That would have been covered under the warranty. But since there was a hole that I saw as they were pulling the liner out, we were hit with a huge expense. There goes my kitchen table I wanted. :) Or I might be able to still get a cheap one. We could have had it patched and saved us a lot of money, but I didn't know you could patch them. We really had thought it was the seam, that's why we had it replaced.

In a way, I'm glad we had it completely redone. Grass was beginning to grow between the liner and the pool wall which would have caused more problems. No one, while installing the pool last year, ever told us about grass prevention. I assumed that since the area was dug out, covered with sand and covered with a liner, grass/weeds would not grow. We put weed killer down every year, but did not spray grass killer around the pool. I suppose it does grow and damages the liner of the pool. So this time around, we have put a grass killer netting that's used in flower gardens down along with spraying the inside of the pool. Sand on top of that and hopefully that will do the trick. We also plan on putting netting on the outside of the pool and putting mulch down all around the pool.

We also had a great Bible study. We have two new people coming. A young couple that's 20 & 21. Rob did a great job and he expressed to everyone he and I felt like we should have at least 2 a month. Sherry said we've had to skip out on so many, why not have one a week until we feel like we've caught up some. She's still so hungry in wanting to learn and so is the guy from the new couple coming. Rob talked to Nick about keeping them going while we are gone. Not sure how he liked that, but he'll do a great job. We really feel it important to keep them going.

The girls are into Christmas music right now. I think that's put Rob in a Christmas spirit mood. He ended up finding some Christmas decorations in a Major's cabinet and decorated his cubicle. Said he needed to spread some Christmas cheer at work. So for the past week, all I've listened to music wise is children's Christmas music. Oh, so early!

I have been busy cleaning out closets and preparing for a yard sale. The girls had soooo many clothes a couple years ago. I'm getting rid of a lot since new baby is coming, Kaylee doesn't need 75 clothing items, and some sizes are the wrong size for the season for new baby coming.

I think we have name but we are only about 75% sure on it. The first name we like and is sticking with us pretty good and the middle name we are beginning to like a lot. Not revealing the name just yet until we are certain of it. I'll post when it's official.

I've posting a long enough update, now it's time to get back to the house and finish messing up the house. Ha! That's what it feels like. I go to clean the house out and make a bigger mess. I'm ready to start fresh over with very little things like when we first got married. That would HAVE to make life easier with clean up!!!

Easter Pictures And More

WHOA! Scary, I know! That's what she wanted. Emma & Madison are into "fixing" their hair now and she came to me with 5 ponytails and oh, about 8 hair bows in her hair and asked me if she was pretty. OF COURSE she's pretty, but her hair looked a little funny. I asked to take a picture and instead of a smile, I got a scary face so she can scare people! ha! Oh, I have a correction... this is not a scary face, it's a FUNNY face! She doesn't want to scare anyone, she just wants to make people laugh. Oh cute!

Here's Emma's ponytail. She's not as wild and experimental as Madison. At most, she may have 3 hair bows in her hair with 1 ponytail.

And non other than me, at 18 weeks. I've gotten much bigger in 4 weeks! This cute shirt didn't make it through the second wash. The hem in the arm, neck & around the bottom came out. Looks like I have some sewing to do.

And can Daddy put any more kids anywhere? By the time the baby is born, Kaylee will be in one arm and the other baby in the other arm.

Happy Easter

Fires are still flaring up in the area that was hit the hardest. Thankfully rain is coming tonight and tomorrow to put these hot spots all out.

It was a beautiful day today and the kids enjoyed an Easter egg hunt at our neighbors house. Rob worked outside preparing a garden spot but still has more to do. I got some of our yard fertilized in time for the rain that's coming.

I really miss not going to AR this year for Easter. Some of my family was begging us to come, but storms and heavy rain is on it's way for Easter and I don't feel like driving back in them. So, we will be staying here in OK, going to church and then to meet up with a friend to have dinner with him.

Fire Danger

First, thank you all who have commented on us expecting a girl. We are very excited that we'll be able to remain in a 3 bedroom house and clothes can be passed down to this baby as well.

On to the fires. Yes, central Oklahoma is under fire, literally. The first large fire reported was about 7 miles from us in Midwest City. At least 20 homes were completely destroyed and the fire quickly spread up to Choctaw destroying over 100 homes in it's path. So sad. Oh wait, I really think the fire north of Shawnee was one of the first fires. Sis. Loree Brock called me wanting me to pray cause they had to evacuate. They are okay and they got their motor home moved as well. What a scary busy day it was for them. As far as I know, where they were staying is okay as well unless the wind change causes the fires to come back down to where they were at.

I was a bit worried when Tabatha & I were coming home from shopping and the closer we got to our exit, the more black smoke we saw in the air. Not really knowing where all the fires were at and what direction they were going in, my nerves were a little shot. I knew there were fires on both the south & north side of us. Thankfully, none of them got to our home, but my heart grieves for all who have lost their home. I suppose we are not completely out of danger since there are still amber's burning just north of us in Midwest City and the winds have shifted more toward our direction, but I think we'll be okay unless more fires pick up throughout the night.

I'm wondering what other state you can live in to where you have ice storms, blizzards, tornado's, floods, fires & earthquakes all within a couple months of each other?

My allergies/sore throat has flared up again. I'm blaming it on Rob's indoor garden. That's right, he's started up some plants inside then transferred them to some soil that smells very strong. Every time I'm near them, my throat hurts. He's gotta get those plants outside in the ground!!! I got well over the weekend while we were gone away from all the dirt! Life!

Well, I've been informed I've taken too long on the computer... that would really be due to Rob talking to me and he really likes to know he has my attention while he's talking to me. ha ha. But, it's past bedtime for me and so off I go to watch the news one last time and oh, I'm hungry again. I guess I'll take care of that too.

IT'S A ....

GIRL!

That's right, another girl and this will make 4. I'm feeling much better with the pregnancy and I'm not sick with any virus, stomach thing, or flu!!! We are all well.

One thing I'm VERY thankful for is a healing God has performed in my life. I told Rob at the beginning of the pregnancy that he better start praying that I'm not as sick and that my gestational diabetes stays under control since it makes me feel so bad. I ended up with 6 full weeks of morning sickness instead of 3 months and about 6 weeks ago, I noticed that my blood sugar was staying under control. Every once in a while my sugar levels would go up, but after 2 hours, it was close to normal if not normal. It gradually got better and better and now I feel I'm completely healed. I had an ice cream sundae with a waffle bowl and caramel topping. I never felt any effects from it at all!!! I can go longer periods of time without eating and my sugar never drops low. My heart no longer races and pounds inside my chest, and I no longer get dizzy or shaky! I'm so thankful for the prayers that have been prayed for me and for God answering. I feel wonderful!

We had a great youth convention. We had around 175 people there. The Lord blessed and moved in a great way. I think we had close to 100 youth there. After the convention, we stayed with my moms cousin that lives there and had a great visit with them. Then on Sunday, Rob ministered to the local church in Russellville. We invited a homeless man to church, he came, was blessed and the church there is trying to help him find a job. What a blessing. They are even letting him stay in the camper on the church property. He was truly touched and was about to break down and cry. There are some that need help and what a blessing to be able to reach out and let our light shine for Christ.
