So while I'm on here, I'll give a quick update on the month of Nov....
Ummmm..... I don't remember much. LOL I bet you thought I was gone from here forever huh?

I do remember that Rob and Jason Blaylock did a revival in Pryor, OK and it was very refreshing. The Lord really blessed us. Now we are getting ready for a revival in Walnut Ridge, AR, where Rob, Aaron Cabales & Derek Hays will be holding the revival this weekend. We are looking forward to the spirit of the Lord falling and blessing all those that attend, so be there!

We had a good Thanksgiving where we shared it with Nick, Sherry, Sheyanne and Paul. That sure was some good food and the first time I'd ever had fried turkey! I think we'll have to invest in a cooker now, for it only takes about an hour to cook a big turkey and I can use my oven for other things that need to be cooked.

At the beginning of the month, we had family retreat and it was great to see my family there. I cherish each moment I have with them.

As far as the kids, well, they just keep me busy. They call Grammy and Papaw a lot on the cell phone and well now, Emma and Madison say, "I need my own phone so I can call MY people." LOL They are WAY too young for this right now. ha ha And they love taking pictures with a phone.

Lydia is growing. At her 2 month appointment, she was 13.1 lbs and 23 inches long. She's a fat little thing that is growing fast! She's 3 months old now and will really look at us and coo a lot. I love that! Somehow, it tickles my heart. :)

So that's my quick update. I'm looking forward to seeing my folks again for a few days after revival and letting Rob do some hunting while there. I'll save my hunt time for Christmas when it's open gun for 3 days. Well, I'm not sure if I can go or not, I'm still nursing and you know how demanding babies are when they are hungry!

Emma and Madison no longer sleep in their toddler beds in our room!!!! They now sleep in their big bed in their room! Wa-hoo!!! They still don't really like it, but they have no choice. hee hee. Meanwhile, Kaylee is loving her new bed that was her sissy's.

Oh Boy! I'm Behind! & a Few Pics.

I suppose I'm behind for good reason. Newborn and 3 other kids keep it pretty busy around here. I'm going to try and share some exciting things that have been going on here real quick.

First, our church had a youth night every Tuesday night in October. We have one school age youth coming to our church and she brought 5 with her the first night. 4 of them came back the next week along with 5 others!

On the 3rd week, there were 9, I believe, but we had 2 new ones. This was the first night Rob opened the altar for the kids to come and pray. He'd been talking about what weighs us down in life, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, and how it effects us. This night was about relationships and he focused on our relationship with Christ. The kids responded well. They were all in the altar, crying and pouring their hearts out to God. It was awesome! Once service was dismissed, the kids didn't' leave. They stayed, cried on one another and gave lots of hugs, so Rob talked a bit more. It was great.

The fourth night, we had a total of 17 kids there!!! Wow!!! Now, from our Oct. youth nights we have had about 6 young people coming to church for the past two weeks. Sherry and Sheyanne have worked hard at inviting and picking up the kids. Thanks Sherry for your hard work for the Lord!!! Someday, you will be rewarded with a great Heavenly reward!

The past week, I've been hard at work on a project we helped out with on Halloween night. The church we rent from decorates each classroom/office up as a different Candyland game board room such as Taffy Town and Gumball Glazier and Lollipop ?. It was really neat. I have a lot of pictures up on facebook. It's easier to upload pics there. Our room turned out really neat and we had a lot of fun decorating and passing out candy in a non scary place that was more interesting than my home could ever be. We had an opportunity to pass out a TON of church cards as nearly 1,000 people passed by. Amazing!

So, that pretty much sums up October. We are now getting ready to head for Family Camp this weekend and I'm looking forward to great fellowship and wonderful time in the Lord.

Life has been good here without any help during the day. Mom didn't stay after she brought the kids home. My brother came and got her the next day.

We've got into a pretty good routine for most days. The girls have been doing pre K and are doing great with writing and they love their computer work. Kaylee loves to draw and thinks she writes the letter E all the time as she shouts it out, "EEEEEE." Lydia still sleeps all the time. She's starting to smile after she wakes up and looks at whoever is staring her in the face.

Lydia is getting to be quiet the little chunky baby. She's getting more rolls on her all the time now. I think she's close to 11 1/2 lbs. She's such a good baby and doesn't cry, only when she's starving, so she thinks. I'm up a lot during the night, but occasionally, I'll get 4 hours of sleep in. She loves her sisters and doesn't fuss when they want to hold her. She's extremely happy in Emma's arms.

Kaylee loves the baby too and does very well with her. Anytime the baby does fuss, Kaylee comes running to me screaming, "Eeeeee (eat)!" I'll ask Kaylee, "Who needs to eat?" She'll yell at me, "Lay lay!" Yes, Lay lay is the baby's name to Kaylee. Another one of Kaylee's favorite things to help out with the baby is to grab the pacifier, hold it out to me and yell, "FIRE!" It's comical around here and enjoyable most of the time.

The girls love to help cook now. They help with breakfast most of the time and some days they help with dinner. Here's a picture of them helping their dad make us all egg sandwiches.


Here's some other pictures we took. We were going to try and get a family picture in, but a hungry baby and a sleepy 21 month old didn't make for a successful day. We just had to take what we could get.

What A Goofball!

Just tell me (no, really don't cause I already know), BUT, what goofball would let their mother get away with the camera in the van for nearly 2 weeks so they can't take any pictures of the newborn?

Yeah, that would be me! I sent mom off with the three kids to her house in AR and the camera went along with her! I'm so upset! It's been nearly 2 weeks since they've been gone and I'm not able to take any pictures of Lydia growing up and changing in looks!!!

Well, if in the near or far away future I want to know what she looked like at 3 weeks old, I'll just pull up a picture of Kaylee at that age. After all, she looks JUST LIKE KAYLEE! Even at that, I am very bummed. I suppose we need a backup camera for moments like these.

So as you can see, my girls and my mom is still not with us. Mom took them all the the Dr. on Wed. with the result all being a cough and runny nose and Kaylee is sporting an ear infection from the drainage. They are all still running a fever at night, therefore, is delaying my mother from driving the 6 hours by herself with the girls after being up throughout the night. For some reason, I know that feeling all to well. :) Right now, it's one day at a time rather or not they come back. If it's going to be much longer, Rob's gonna pack us up, go to AR and rescue all of them. :) He's getting pretty desperate when he considers sleeping with Shirty the bear (one of Madison's favorite bears).

We sure have enjoyed a clean house, little dishes to do, not much laundry right now, the floor throughout the entire house can be seen, toys are in their proper place... this must have been what is was like before having kids. :) But I think we are ready for the chaos to come back with all the noise and toys strung out throughout the house with a pile of laundry to do. Nothing can replace all those hugs and kiss, laughter and giggles, sweet kind-hearted comments from Emma and Madison like, "Mommy, that dress is so pretty on you. You look soooo pretty in that." Oh, and did I mention that nothing can replace that ornery little girl Kaylee who smiles and laughs with every ornery move? ~~~ I WANT MY KIDS BACK!~~~~ :) Hopefully soon.

Yesterday, I ventured out to the gym with Rob. Lydia was good in her seat while I walked for 20 minutes on the treadmill then attempted some squats and arm exercises. It felt good to do something other than sit around. I'm ready to get back into exercising regularly and get back in shape... good shape that is. :) You know, feeling healthy and being able to breath properly after going up 5 steps. :) I'm ready to attempt it anyway.

Ice Skating Adventure

Last weekend, my sister-in-law and her kids came down for a visit to see the baby. While they were here for Emily's birthday, Emily asked about ice skating so ice skating is where we went. I've been spoiled to the mall ice skating rinks where the temp on the ice is somewhere around 65 or 70 degrees. So when we entered into the building here and it was MUCH colder than that, we were all thrown for a loop. It was FREEZING in there. Okay, maybe it was above freezing temps, but not by much. Quickly, our nose and hands were very cold standing on the outside of the rink and inside the rink was about 4 or 5 degrees colder. At least I remembered to grab some sweaters for me and the kids but didn't know we needed scarfs, gloves and hats too. :)

But we survived and all the ice skaters had a blast. Who knows, when Lydia gets a bit older, we may just attempt it again with all the winter gear on. I suppose you can say I'm a wimp when it comes to cold weather. :) All you that went to church with me in CO know exactly what I'm talking about... as I entered into the church with it 30 degrees outside and me all bundled up. :) Glad I could make you smile and bring laughter to your lives. :)

This week, my mom took the girls home with her to Mtn. View so I could attempt sleeping a little more during the day. It's worked a little, but it sure is quiet here and lonely during the day. I think Lydia misses her sisters. This morning, I've had to turn on cartoons just so that she would not cry. :) I believe she needs the noise.

She weighed in yesterday for her 2 week appointment at 8 lbs and 14 oz. She's gained 1 1/2 lbs since she's been home. She's doing real good.

I'm doing well after the c-section as well. This is the first time that I've actually felt really good less than 3 weeks after surgery. I thank God for a quick recovery. I'm still sore a little, but not in a lot of pain. My incision looks good all for one place where it's still trying to heal. It was stapled wrong and I'm having to dr. it a bit more but it's looking so much better now.

Rob is always sleepy. :) But he's also a huge help.

It's OFFICIAL!!! Baby Lydia is Here!!!

We are now the happy parents of 4 beautiful girls. Baby Lydia Grace Montgomery was born this morning at 8:04 a.m. She was 8 lbs even and 20 inches long. We thank God for answering our prayer request for a healthy baby. She is the first of our four that we have been able to hold after being born. Emma and Madison spent some time in an incubator and our first chance holding them was putting our sanitized arms through some holes in the incubator and lifting them off the pad they were laying on. Kaylee had to be on oxygen and had to sleep with a hood over her head the first night. So she was wheeled off to the NICU right after birth. This time after they cleaned Lydia up they handed her to me (rob) and I was almost shocked. I think my first words were, "Uh, I get to keep her?" Then I remembered that we prayed for this and I thanked God for answering. Plus it was great to put her little face down by Amy so they could kiss while Amy was being stitched up. And I got to carry her back to the recovery room and place her in mommy's arms. I can't explain how great that was for us after what we've went through in our first moments with the other girls. Thank you God!!!

We left Amy's mom at the hospital with her and I brough the girls and my dad & mom home to eat and take a nap. After uploading some pictures we're heading back to the hospital. Amy's doing well....starting to feel some pain. She says she's been on the phone a lot and probably needs to rest. I'm posting a few pictures here. A Date Set For Baby Lydia

Another Dr.'s appointment, another week with no progress. I'm 39 weeks and there's no sign that I'll be having this baby anytime soon. I'm still not having many contractions, I've not dilated at all, and she's not dropped either. Being a previous c-section twice, the Dr. nor I, want to chance tearing my incision open and having internal bleeding. Therefore, we have set a date....

SEPTEMBER 4TH - THIS FRIDAY.

My mom is here along with Rob's parents. Hopefully my dad can come out this weekend if he's able to.

I'm sure I'll take my last prego picture tomorrow and I'll post it then, and Rob will post pictures of the new addition just as soon as he can.

Off I go to prepare for something else.... or maybe even take a nap soon. :)

A 10 Yr. Anniversary To Always Remember - Like Non Other!

I don't think we can or anyone else will ever be able to repeat an anniversary like we had yesterday.

Rob started out going to work and was home after 2 hours. I think about 45 minutes of that was spent at the store picking me up a card and plant. He was feeling so bad at work, they sent him home.

The girls and I started out with a pretty good day. They had pancakes and chocolate milk for breakfast, while I had eggs and ham with a good latte. Then outside we went to pick some okra. Madison helped at cleaning the okra with me, that's one of her favorite jobs to help with, and then we all had some of that dirt cake I made after Rob came home. The girls spent a good part of the morning watching movies while Rob slept.

We all took a nap around noon although mine only lasted for 10 minutes with Rob telling the girls to lay down and then phones ringing like crazy. I finally gave up and fiddled around the house for a while. Then when the kids woke up, that's when the real fun started....

Rob was going to take the girls over to the park while I stayed home to work on some corn chowder for supper and to can. Rob told them to get ready, put their shoes on, but every time they made it to the door, he had to turn back around and head to the bathroom one more time. Needless to say, they never made it to the park.

In the middle of Rob's bathroom trips, he and I spent a good deal of time cleaning up after Kaylee. She smeared Balmex on the carpet, pulled out a ton of floss, poured about 2 1/2 oz of Avon body soap in the bathroom floor and Emma came running to tell me about it with a can of hairspray in her hand. As I go to inspect the "damage," I notice Emma has quiet a bit of hairspray in her hair and the can is nearly empty. And as I find Kaylee, her hair is sticking straight up in the air from all the hairspray! Kaylee somehow pushed the buttons on our home alarm keypad to send a silent alarm to the police and we had an officer to come to our home. She let about a gallon of water out of the drinking water filter onto the floor. Emma & Madison pestering each other all day while one of them (I think Madison) pulled off my curtain tie backs. Emma was into my glucose meter and dropped a bucket of butter in the floor. Thankfully it was nearly empty. Every time I heard "UH-OH" I just cringed while wondering "what now!" I slaved over the hot stove for hours while Rob spent the rest of his time in the bathroom or sleeping, not to mention I'm one week from having this baby.

Just as I was finishing up with canning the soup, I get a nice phone call from Sis. Tammi saying the Horne's were coming and asked if we wanted to come over. She was on the phone with me as I found the soap in the floor and hairspray in the girls hair. I'm laughing to keep my sanity and told her I would definitely come over to bring some of this chaos to her house!

So at this point during the day, who cares what the girls look like. I take them over there all dirty just so we can leave. We left Rob home covered under 4 blankets and with the house already being at 85 degrees from cooking, he wanted the heater on too! I said no way! Poor guy!

We made it the Adam's house and the girls got busy right away playing with all the kids outside. About an hour later, Katie was caring Madison in her arms and said that something was in her pants. Madison was holding her pant leg up by her thigh and was very concerned with whatever it was in her pants. I asked if it was biting her, she said no. I asked if it was hurting, she said no. She told me with a very concerned voice, "It just tickles me and it's wet!" So I proceeded to take her to the bathroom and pull her pants down. There I found something that was a bit large, light & dark brown in her pants but couldn't make out what it was from her still squeezing it. I'm sure I showed a bit of concern as I tried to pull her pants off, but before I could get her pants off, Madison let go and a frog jumped out of her pants! I was dying of laughter, opened the door and yelled... "I think we need Joe in here to catch a frog!" Sis. Tammi and Becki come to inspect as I told them what happened in the midst of my laughter. Sis. Tammi says, "So does this mean there's a frog in my house?" LOL "YES, it does!" So off they go to get Sam and their camera's while I pull Madison's pants up. I'm sure Becki will post the picture when she's able to.

That sure was a good way to top off our anniversary. I did manage to get a nice massage from Sis. Tammi's foreign Japanese massage chair and it was nice visiting with the Horne family as they passed by.

I sure don't want a repeat of that day, but it is definitely an anniversary that we'll always remember. I have this strong feeling, that with Kaylee being a part of our family, we'll have many more of these types of memories to come. She's not even 2 yet!!!

Update...

I've been having a few more contractions but I really don't foresee this little girl coming before next week. I'm beginning to measure a bit bigger now and I'm afraid she's going to be too large to deliver naturally after having two c-sections. So therefore, I've scheduled a c-section next week for Sept 4th.

I've been staying busy with the girls. Kaylee is always into something and today, she hooked herself with a fishing pole hook right in the elbow. I had to cut the hook off the pole with wire pliers and then she calmed down a lot. It had to be painful. I really thought we were gonna have to take her to the ER, but after setting her up on the table to exam it and looking to see how deep it was, I grabbed the end of the hook and it came right out of her arm! Thank you Lord!

Our 10 year anniversary is tomorrow. I can't believe it's been that long. I forgot about it until just now and now it's too late to go out and get a card for Rob. He came down sick yesterday, and tonight he's feeling rough again. I'm pretty sure going out to eat is out of the question. Maybe we can squeeze in a day next week after he's feeling better before baby comes and we can get a babysitter that's not sick as well. :)

I sure did cook some yummy homemade chicken noodle soup today and didn't even have a recipe for it. I've put 6 quarts up for a later time to eat for just after baby is born to make our lives easier around here.

Camping Trip

I didn't get many pictures taken. Why? I'm not sure, I never had my camera with me. I'll have to have Sis. Tammi (the camera queen) to give me what she took of my girls & us.

Just 15 miles down the road was a wonderful campsite for us. We had a great time at our first church camping trip. Well, I guess some of us had a rough time. I didn't stay the first night and came home close to 11pm before the girls were put to bed. That might have been a mistake. Rob finally got them all asleep around 12:30 am and they all woke up about 2 am and never went back to sleep. Kaylee cried the entire time and wanted me while the girls were asking all kinds of questions as Rob was losing his patience. I think he needed some sleep. :)

I got a phone call about 4:30 am with a threat of him coming home with all the kids. He didn't know what else to do. After all, this was the girls first time to camp. I told him to try driving Kaylee around and she might fall asleep. I'm not sure how long he tried it for, but it didn't work. Instead of her falling asleep, she perked up, looking out the window and looking all around. So he tried kids songs, and again, no success. Instead, she started bouncing around in her seat singing and clapping. He gave up, tried the tent thing again and before I knew it, there was knock on my garage door at 6 am. That scared me a bit. No phone call to let me know he was coming and then I'm having someone knocking on my door! I finally let the poor guy in who was exhausted, I kept the kids, had them sleep a few hours and let him go have some guy time out on the lake fishing.

We got back to the camp site close to 10 am and everyone seemed a bit tired from our girls keeping everyone up all night long. sorry.... the girl went swimming fully dressed. It was fun watching them play in the lake. We all went fishing just after lunch and then again in the evening. I actually caught a Crappy! Just one though and we kept it. Suppose that was more than some others got. :) Oh, I got a Blue Gill too, but we threw him back.

Madison lost her pole in the lake. Rob tried to scoop it up, but just missed it. Luckily, we had the bobber that was still attached, but because she has pushed the button just as it was going into the lake, Rob had to pull all the string out in order to get her pole out of the lake.

Saturday night was a better success at getting the girls to sleep. I put Kaylee to bed first at 9:30 then the girls fell asleep on Rob close to 10:30. Amazingly, they slept all night long. So did everyone else while Rob was out pulling down not just tree limbs for the fire, but tree BRANCHES on top of a gazebo and tubs of cookware making all kinds of noise close to midnight. I'm sure between the kids keeping everyone awake the night before and the warm sunny heat, everyone was out once they got to bed. I ended up staying that night. Slept just about as well as I do at home. After all, at 37 1/2 weeks pregnant, I'm not sure who sleeps well anywhere.

Sunday morning, we had a church service right outside in the middle of our community tent city. We had 6 tents and a sea of blue tarp with a fire pit in the middle. Rob and Rob did a great job at digging that thing out so we could have a camp fire. The kids sure did enjoy cooking over it while the adults enjoyed watching it.

After we loaded up & came home, we crashed and got some good rest then off to church we went Sunday night and had a great service.

We missed all that could have come or wished they could have come. Hopefully next year, you can join us. It was a great time of fellowship.

The Weekend, Gardening, & the Dr.

We sure did have a wonderful weekend visiting with the Wilson's. We started out going to revival in Tulsa then headed over to the Wilson's to visit with their little adopted grandson. The girls and Landon hit it off real good and Sis. Connie and Bro. Johnny fixed an outstanding breakfast!!! YUMMY! Then Rob and Bro. Johnny went to the Jared's to pick some green beans. After a fun evening at Chuck-E-Cheese, we sat around the table and snapped beans. I haven't don't that in over 20 years. It was great. I even got to bring some home with us and cooked them with some potatoes & onions... Oh, it was so good along with some fried squash and ham. Tonight, I'm thinking fried okra, some sort of potatoes and a meatloaf (?) or maybe something else (?). I'll get the meat defrosted and think about it. :)

So gardening, our garden... WELL.... it's producing... some. We are getting enough okra to feed us a good helping about every other day. I LOVE okra. The tomato plants and the corn did nothing for us, but provided the bugs with some good eating. Our one little cucumber plant that survived has produced us some really good cucumbers, about 6 large ones and we have some small one on there, but I'm not sure how they will do. And our squash plants.... WELL.... they turned into what we thought was watermelons, and then the watermelons turned into cantaloupe and cantaloupe is what is really is. :)

I picked the first cantaloupe today, cut it up and tried it and it's not bad. I've had sweeter cantaloupe, but it still has a good flavor. We have another one about ready to pick and a few more that are growing still.

At least this garden did much better than last years garden which was a complete flop!

And my Dr... he doesn't think I'll have this baby on my own and was highly suggesting another c-section again. My desire has been to have this baby naturally so I can hold it just after delivery. I have some good things going for me, like measuring much smaller than what I was measuring with Kaylee. My sugars have been under control which I believe is a huge part of why I'm not as large. I'm not even swelling like I did with Kaylee, BUT... I'm almost 37 weeks and I've not dilated at all. I'm praying, and have been praying, that God would allow me to have this baby without a c-section. Anyone who would pray with me, please do so.

My hip is in a lot of pain and has been for over 2 months now. The farther along I get, the worse it is. That's really my only complaint which I'm very thankful for. But it's so bad at times that I sometimes just want to say I give in and go for the c-section. ????

So, I suppose that's about it for now. I best get back to getting the clothes prepared for Lydia's arrival, clean up Kaylee's room, make room for something to store the clothes in and pack away all the toys that are in the floor that never are played with, they are just taking up floor space for me trip over. :) Have a good day folks!

The girls had a princess party with their Daddy. I was the cook, but the picture of me is not worth putting in. It was after a swim then I came in to fix supper. I thought they all looked so nice all dressed up.

The girls had their first dentist appt. and they got funny sunglasses and new toothbrushes that they were VERY happy to receive.
