First, we went to couples retreat in Branson, MO and it was a lot of fun. It was great to fellowship with other couples in the church and not be so rushed like we are at the conventions. We had some great lessons, preaching and activities. I'm excited for the next retreat!
Then off to Houston! Rob got put on this TIGER team to help with an issue on a plane. He was being sent to Canada for a meeting and needed to get an emergency passport. The military sent him to Houston for his passport and while there, we visiting with my grandmother, aunt & uncle, and many cousins that only live about 40 minutes away. The girls had a lot of fun visiting with cousins that were close to their own age and it was nice for me to visit with my family as well. Aunt Betty and Grandma took us to Galveston and we all really enjoyed it.
The girls got to ride a ferry boat for the first time, in fact, it was the first boat ever they had been on. I always liked riding the ferry there because you can feed the seagulls crackers. It's so neat how they come right to you and take the crackers from your hand. They follow all the across the bay and then back. They have to be the most well fed birds ever.
We went to eat at a great resturaunt, then watched a 4-D movie, had dessert at Sonic, then headed back to Grandma's. It was a great day.

Rob's garden. Notice the black spot on the post? He rigged up some light for after dark so he could finish planting the seeds. NOTE TO ALL: It's best to NOT use a lantern hanging on a wooden fence for lighting.

I would love to go to Galveston since we live in TX. They say it is a beautiful. Great post. I am so glad you findly posting. :o)
